The Stoked Grind 160km:

Early bird: $149 (ends 31st July unless sold out prior)

1st tier: $169 (1st August - 28th September unless sold out prior)

Late: $185 (29th September - 8th October)

The KIWI PARK TWIN RIVERS 86km:

Early bird: $119 (ends 31st July unless sold out prior)

1st tier: $139 (1st August - 28th September unless sold out prior)

Late: $155 (29th September - 8th October)

The FLUID PARADISE DASH 57km:

Early bird: $79 (ends 31st July unless sold out prior)

1st tier: $99 (1st August - 28th September unless sold out prior)

Late: $115 (29th September - 8th October)


WITHDRAWAL, CANCELLATION AND RACE RULES

If you register for any of the Glenorchy Grind 2025 you must agree with the terms and conditions below:

Withdrawals

If you decide to withdraw from the event, the refund policy is as follows:

  • 50% refund will be given until 31 July 2025

  • 25% refund will be given until 31 August 2025

  • After 31 August no refunds will be provided

All withdrawal requests must be submitted via email to the event organisers.

Transfers

Participants may request to transfer their entry to someone else up until 5pm, 31 August 2025. The Participant wishing to transfer can do so via Barefoot Sport, our event registration platform; a fee of $30 is charged.The original participant remains responsible for the entry until the transfer is fully confirmed.

Category Changes

If you are wishing to change your event distance, you can do so through via Barefoot Sport, our event registration platform. No refunds are provided if you downgrade to a shorter event.

Deferrals

Deferring an entry to the following year is not an option for this event.

Health & Fitness Declaration

By registering to the event you confirm that you are physically fit and able to complete your chosen course. You acknowledge the physical demands and accept responsibility for your own health and safety and the risks involved.

Event Cancellation

Courses may be altered for safety reasons and participants will be notified as soon as the decision has been made. If the event is cancelled due to circumstances beyond the organisers’ control (including but not limited to weather events, natural disasters, public health measures, or civil emergencies), no refunds will be issued. Organisers will make all reasonable efforts to reschedule, with Sunday 12 October 2025 being the first alternative date. If the event cannot be held at all, entry fees will be considered a donation to the Glenorchy Trails Trust to cover planning costs.

Photography, Filming, Media

Glenorchy Trails Trust and its affiliates have the right to use your image, name, and voice in any media, globally and in perpetuity, without compensation, for promotional purposes.

Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to behave respectfully towards others and uphold the integrity of the event. Abuse of staff, volunteers, other riders, or the environment will result in immediate disqualification.


Event Rules

  1. Registration: Only registered riders are allowed to participate in the event.

  2. Compliance with Instructions: Attend pre-race briefings and follow all instructions. Respect the guidance of volunteers and marshals throughout the event.

  3. Respect for the Environment: Riders must not litter or leave any rubbish on the course. Dispose of trash only at designated aid stations. Violators will be disqualified. Respect the course’s integrity to minimize environmental impact.

  4. Self-Sufficiency: Carry necessary repairs and equipment with you; no outside support allowed during the race. Race organisers have no responsibility to fix your bike.

  5. Time Limits: Strictly adhere to cut-off times to ensure safety for riders and staff.

  6. Withdrawal Protocol: If withdrawing from the race, promptly inform a Race Marshal.

  7. Device Usage: AirPods/headphones are not allowed due to potential emergency vehicle movement.

  8. Equipment Regulations:  Bikes must be well-maintained with good tires and brakes. Professional pre-event bike checks are recommended.

  9. Helmet Safety: Wear NZ Standards approved cycle helmets at all times while on the course.

  10. E-Bike Regulations: Pedal Assisted E-Bikes are allowed on the Paradise Dash Course only. No drafting for E-Bikes; finish times will be recorded.

  11. Bike Changes and Drafting: No bike changes during the race. Riders must not draft more than two abreast.

  12. Race Director’s Authority: The Race Directors reserve the right to withdraw distressed competitors and those not capable of completing the event.

  13. Integrity of the Event: Breaches affecting the event’s reputation will result in disqualification.

  14. Substance Abuse: Riders found under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be banned from future events.

  15. Respecting Road Rules: Riders will obey all NZ road rules when riding and racing on public roads. No road closures will be in place. While cycling, maintain a single-file formation if obstructing traffic, ride no more than two abreast, stay left, avoid crossing the road center line, and adhere to the designated course.

  16. Assisting Fellow Participants: If you encounter an injured participant, you must stop to ensure their well-being. If medical support is needed, stay with them and report to the nearest marshal.

  17. Time Adjustments for Assistance: Participants stopping to assist injured riders will receive time adjustments based on their average speed.

  18. Race Director’s Discretion: The race director holds the right to disqualify for rule violations and credit time for aiding injured participants.

  19. Event Alterations: The race director may alter or cancel the event for safety reasons, weather conditions, or other factors affecting the event’s nature.

  20. Food & Water: Riders must carry their own nutrition and plenty of water to be self-sufficient, not relying on aid-stations.

  21. Liability: Event Organisers are not responsible for any liability, loss (including indirect or consequential loss) or damages arising from your participation in the event.

  22. Photography, Filming, Media: I grant to ORGANISER, its affiliates, designees and assignees the right and permission to photograph, film, record and/or otherwise capture in any media the name, image, voice, written statement, photograph and/or visual likeness of me and/or my family members (collectively “images”), with right to sublicense, during the activities of the Glenorchy Gravel Grind, without compensation, for use for any purpose in any media throughout the world in perpetuity, including but not limited to use in broadcasts, photographs, publications, podcasts, webcasts, motion pictures, social media, brochures, and any commercial media.
